Tunes
Played by the Band
Following are featured tunes that are routinely played by the band.
Please note that there are thousands of tunes for the Great Highland
Bagpipe. Many are popular numbers that nearly everyone can recognize,
while the greater majority are tunes that are known to few and played
infrequently. Also, there are standards that are usually played
at weddings, funerals and anniversaries, etc. The band has a variety
of musical sets prepared for different occasions, which may include
tunes not listed below.
See
the Events
page for a calendar featuring the band's public performance schedule,
or contact Pipe Major George Hall at pipemajor@42ndhighlandersband.org
if you're interested in engaging the band or a solo piper.
